Enjoy an ocean view single room with a king bed in one of the spacious casitas. There is a private bathroom with hot shower. Private terrace. Coffee machine, mini fridge, safe and daily housekeeping. 

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

• All meals, beer & wine are included in your stay. Enjoy locally-sourced and beautifully-crafted meals that can be customized for gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and other dietary preferences. Breakfast, lunch and a 3-course dinner are provided daily.  If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance, so that we can cater to them. If you have serious food allergies, please alert me before registering or submitting a deposit.
• A total of eight Mindful Movement classes offered throughout the retreat, including Pilates, yoga, dance and movement/health education in the open-air yoga shala with bay views. The yoga shala is spacious and equipped with mosquito nets, electric fans and lights for evening classes.
• Use of complimentary kayaks, SUPs and surf boards for exploring the two bays and surf break (and beyond – perhaps to the mangroves.) 
• Use of two secluded beaches within walking distance from the retreat, where you can explore and sunbathe. One has a more protected bay, which is better for open-water swimming, trying out yoga poses on the complimentary SUPs or simply floating on your back in the warm water. 
• Use of the infinity pool and beach bar with soaking tub overlooking the bay.
• 45-minute steep jungle hike to look for howler monkeys and other flora and fauna, get a picturesque view of the bay and tour the resort farm (where ingredients for many of our meals are sourced.)
• Roundtrip transportation from Enrique Malek International Airport (DAV) in David, Panama to/from our island retreat takes about 60-75 minutes and is included in the retreat price. (*Note: Travel is by a chartered shuttle and then private boat trip to the island. This retreat is for those who like a combination of adventure and luxury!) *This transportation IS included in our retreat price as long as you are there and ready to go at the designated pick up time. If you require a pick up outside of our designated time frame, there will be an extra charge for the service.
• NOTE: This is a REMOTE island that is only accessible by boat. Please consider this before booking, especially if you have special medical needs. The closest medical facility and pharmacy are located in David.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:

• Airfare is NOT included in the retreat price. All air transportation must be arranged by individual participants. There are two flights required to get to Selva Terra Resort:
  • First flight: Your airport of choice to Tocumen International Airport in Panama City, Panama (PTY). If you are flying from SFO, I suggest taking a direct flight, which takes 7 hours. I flew Copa Airlines last time. Nothing fancy about the plane or the service, but it was on-time, one of the more affordable, efficient options and they got my luggage there on time and undamaged. My flight was roughly $650.
  • Second flight (ideally, the following day or later): Copa Airlines and Air Panama fly from PTY or PAC (both in Panama City) to Enrique Malek International Airport (DAV) in David, Panama. My flight from PAC to DAV via Air Panama was roughly $130 and took about 1 hour. 
  • Note: I don’t recommend booking your flight until we have our itinerary outlined and confirmed (most likely by April 2025). If you require transportation from David, Panama outside of our arranged pick-up time, you will have to pay an additional fee to be transported to our island resort.
• Additional excursions. There are a variety of excursions to choose from at Selva Terra. I will organize an optional, add-on snorkeling trip to Islas Secas for those in our group who want to join, as long as conditions are amenable. Selva Terra also offers a wide-variety of other excursions, including SCUBA diving and sport fishing. See more excursions here.

• Mandatory travel insurance – I highly recommend that you carry travel insurance for this non-refundable retreat. Check with your credit card company first. They may offer travel insurance. Make sure to check the coverage. You can also purchase travel insurance from any number of agencies. Allianz and Travel Guard have both been recommended to me on several occasions. I used Allianz for my trip to Panama and, fortunately, didn’t have to use it. I cannot recommend which travel insurance to use. Please do your research to make an informed decision, so that you’re covered if something unforeseen comes up.
• Third-party fees, such as credit card fees. Check with your bank and credit card  company about international charges for credit cards, ATM fees, etc.
• Anything else that is not stated in the “What Is Included” section of the retreat description is at your additional cost..

IMPORTANT NOTE: Mindful movement (Pilates, yoga, dance, etc.) experience is helpful, but not necessary. This is a mixed level group. I will meet you where you are at – whether you are attending as a beginner or are a seasoned practitioner. What IS necessary: kind, thoughtful communication and a willingness to adapt to a new and dynamic environment and diverse community. This retreat is about self-care in its many forms and in the ways that best serve you, so that you can bring your best out into the world both during the retreat and upon your return home. Additional considerations:
-This retreat is for adults 18+ years of age or older.

-There are 4 well-behaved dogs that live on the property.

–Payment is non-refundable. You must have travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations, changes, emergencies, etc.

Second Payment of 40% due: April 1, 2025

Final Payment of remaining 50% due: September 1, 2025
